Here's a picture of Emma this past weekend with her little LSU tutu on the swing at Michael's Crawfish Boil.
I'm working on the post for that, but I thought I'd post this picture of Emma to tide you over until I finish.

Colin's Man Crush
So in order to tell this story, I have to make a confession of my own..... I watch "Tori and Dean - Home Sweet Hollywood." Not only do I watch it, I record it to make sure that I don't miss an episode. Not that I'm ashamed of watching their show, but I'm ashamed that with two small children (by the way, they are the same age as Liam and Stella), I make sure to make time for it.
I love them!!!!
So now Colin is hooked. Dean didn't have him at "hello," but he did have him as soon as Colin saw his motorcycle. That caught Colin's eye, then began "the man crush."
Ok, so not really, but he thinks that he and Dean could be friends (both are Canadian, both are motorcycle nuts, and they both have the same type of personality). It's very cute.
I do have to say, though, that they really are two peas in a pod and if it weren't for the whole celebrity-Hollywood thing, they probably would be friends.
Anyways, to the point of my story.
Apparently Colin wrote to Dean on Twitter. He mentioned his RC51 (his motorcycle). Well, tonight Colin actually heard back from Dean!!!!
Yep, that's right. Dean McDermott wrote Colin!
Colin (Westy707) is on Dean's page!
Anyways, for us common folk, it's pretty cool to get the attention of a celebrity, even if it's just a short little tweet.
I'll let you know if Dean stops by ;)

Can't Muster A Story
Tonight I'm feeling a bit under the weather (how is it possible to be sick in May?? I made it through flu season, but I can't get through May?) so I'm not feeling much like writing. But I did feel like looking through some pictures of the kids. That makes me feel so much better. So I thought I'd share.
Drew twirling his hair. He gets that from his mama. We'll take that one on later.
Emma promises to stay quiet to let her brother sleep.
Then Emma wanted it to herself
No fun stories, just pictures of my kids.

Emma is such a girl. She loves to carry a purse, even if the closest one is her brothers Lightning McQueen lunch box.

The Amazing Insight of a 12 Year Old
I was just scrolling through my home page on Facebook (you know how I love it) catching up on things when I saw a post from the hubby. It was about a 12 year old boy who was singing Paparazzi for his 6th grade choir show. He really was good. I was curious wanting to see other things that this little fella may have posted when I came across an interview with Ellen. At first I just thought "good for him" and pressed play. I listened to his 6th grade perspective and smiled thinking of all of the opportunity that is about to open up to this child when she asked him if he writes his own music.
His response took my breath away. He spoke about a song that he wrote called "Star." Ellen asked what it was about and he said it was about a wife who dies of cancer and goes into the stars and her husband shortly there after goes into the stars with her. Ellen asks where he got this idea and he says he doesn't really know, he just felt it.
Now how on earth did this 12 year old child, so eloquently describe a situation that I couldn't have fathomed unless I lived it. It just amazes me.
Here is the the song that he wrote, "Stars" and then the video of Paparazzi that blew up on YouTube.

Looking Back
I was just looking through some pictures and picked out some of my favorites that I've taken....
\
And nature, natural scenes can change so quickly. I use my camera to hold on to these moments
So exciting for a little boy
It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood
And of course holding on to moments in our lives.

My Dear Emma,
Tonight, while holding you before bedtime, you laid your head on my shoulder and your hand fell into mine. My heart tingled with joy and I fell in love with you all over again as I do thousands of times each day. I rubbed your tiny little palm with my thumb. It's amazing how this effortless gesture can fill my soul up to the tippy-top.
I just wanted to tell you that.
I love you always and forever,
Mama

Little Miss Priss
This precious picture of Emma is worth a thousand words.......
"Be to her virtues very kind,
Be to her faults a little blind."
~Matthew Prior
......none of which would describe the moment that this picture was taken. Mrs. Tonia took this picture after Emma was sprinkled with water. The kids were playing outside today, and it was a hot day. Any time they would get close to the hose, Tonia would spray them with water to make them laugh. Well, apparently Emma did not think this was very funny. Mrs. Tonia said she turned into a real "diva" when she got wet in her cute little outfit.
But as far as history goes, the picture is what lasts and so this moment will go down as a precious moment.
